Grant writing Queensland testimonial – Boonah Golf Club

Hi Dave,

I just wanted to write a note to let you know that we have been successful with two of our grant applications.

One from the Scenic Rim Regional Council for $18,530 for a multi purpose storage shed. This is to store more golf carts, both club leased carts, and personal storage. This will help us generate more revenue.

The second was from the Queensland Community Gambling Fund. This was for $35,000 to remove all the pavers around the Clubhouse. These pavers were laid over 30 years ago, and have now moved and created real trip hazards. The pavers will be replaced with concrete finished with an exposed aggregate mix. This improvement will greatly assist us in meeting OH&S standards.

I worked with Rob Lillystone from Red Tape Busters. Rob provided good direction regarding the grants we would have most success with and the information required to apply for the grant. His writing reflected our needs and the essence of the club within our community.

He was a pleasure to work with. He was knowledgeable, supportive, honest and efficient. I was always assured that timeframes would be met.

I appreciate the support that Golf Australia has given us in facilitating the partnership with Red Tape Busters. I certainly hope it continues.

Kind regards,

Bernice Dover
