At Red Tape Busters we have contracted the services of a diverse group of Consultants on an as needed basis who are specialists in our areas of expertise and in working directly with our clients to deliver quality services. We are particularly conscious of our clients’ requirements – both from a business/operational view point and financially.

Shane Bowering – Managing Director of Red Tape Busters
He brings over twenty years of experience in liaising, consulting, negotiating with and advising members of the public, industry bodies and public sector employees on Government strategies and objectives, legislation and processes.
Having been on the inside Shane understands the workings of Government and therefore can provide specialist advice to our clients and direction to our consultants on how best to achieve their required outcomes. He also has significant experience in reviewing and restructuring business units within Government Departments and realigning work processes to achieve both productivity dividends and financial savings and as such he works with many businesses and non profit organisations to improve their accountability, professionalism and bottom line.
Shane is also our ‘media tart’ appearing regularly on A Current Affair, The Today Show and Channel 9 News while also having featuring regularly on radio in Brisbane on River 94.9 FM with Danny Hoyland on Saturday mornings and weekday mornings on 4BC talkback with Greg Cary.
Janelle Hart – Manager, Financial Services
Janelle’s key role at Red Tape Busters is to oversee the financial performance of the company. She holds responsibility for invoicing clients, undertaking financial planning activities, monitoring income and expenditure, resolving outstanding debts and liaising with clients regarding financial management issues.
As mentioned we engage Consultants on an as needed basis depending on the requirements and volume of clients and at present we have the following Consultants on our books.
Lesleigh Feuerriegel – Marketing Consultant
Her commitment and primary focus is to supply professional services which assist will assist us in expanding our clientele over time.
Amy Rosanowski – Professional Consultant, West Brisbane
Amy can offer our clients a wide range of skills and experience, including strategic and operational planning and management as well as facilitation and change management. Amy is valuable in assisting both our commercial and non profit clients in a wide range of human resource areas such as candidate attraction, recruitment and selection, workplace health and safety, learning and development, training and performance management.
Amy is also invaluable in assisting clients in complying with legislative requirements and in sourcing and identifying funding opportunities. Amy understands the workings of Government, including the management of funding programs, and as such Amy is ideally placed to assist our clients. Amy has a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service and her successes to date in working for our school based clients and with Golf Qld and Golf clubs across Queensland are simply outstanding!
Beth Britton – Professional Consultant – Inner Brisbane and CBD
Beth’s 24 year career in the education sector includes extensive experience as a school teacher in the public education sector and substantial managerial and corporate governance experience in the independent schooling sector and not-for-profit organisations.
Beth has vast experience with compliance processes and displays highly effective performance in accordance with various legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks. She is an experienced developer of policy, practices and procedures.
She has substantial experience in liaising and consulting with various government and non-government organisations and communities coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Beth has significant experience in successfully sourcing grants from Government and philanthropic entities and has specialist skill in securing funding in the education sector.
Beth’s skills enable her to achieve quality outcomes and she looks forward to working for our clients.
Mark Ryan – Professional Consultant – Victoria
In this environ Mark has been responsible for creating a variety of different documents aimed at supporting businesses and non profit organizations. These include preparing expressions of interest, tenders, company policies and procedures (including OH&S), general correspondence, a family history booklet, organizational rules and various workplace documents including enterprise agreements.
Mark is meticulous and strives for perfection in document preparation.
Mark’s writing skills have been honed through preparing many employment applications for happy clients including résumés, selection criteria responses and cover letters—for a wide range of occupations including school and university graduates, trades-people, accountants, lawyers, public servants, teachers, PhD candidates, receptionists, physiotherapists, police officers and PA’s.
Mark will be engaged as needed to work for our Victorian based clients which will assist us in providing our unique services to the Victorian market. This is an exciting time for RTB as we look to engage other Consultants across Australia.
Andrew Zacks – Professional Consultant
He has been focusing on responses on behalf of service industry clients since 2010, giving him a wealth of knowledge in this area. In an intensely competitive environment, he has been responsible for writing and winning multi-million dollar contracts across a diverse range of industry sectors.
Andrew’s tender writing experience includes the following areas, in all states and territories:
- Government – federal, state and local departments
- Mining & Resources – offshore projects, metal refineries and manufacturing.
- Healthcare – hospital services, disability support and medical recruitment.
- Facilities Management – events, stadiums, corporate real estate.
- Critical Infrastructure – utilities, power and water providers, justice, telecommunications, rail and road transport.
- Finance – major banks and accounting firms.
- Education – universities and TAFEs.
- Transport & Logistics.
His broad writing experience is backed by a degree in Biomedical Science, in addition to extensive tertiary study in English and humanities. As a qualified Medical Scientist, Andrew has detailed knowledge of the healthcare sector and the pathology industry, which complements his background in medical tenders.
Before joining Red Tape Busters, Andrew worked as the Tender Coordinator for a major national security company. He has also held a dedicated Tender Writer position for general and medical recruitment, and healthcare services. Having responded to countless government tenders in his career, Andrew is ideally positioned to assist clients with busting red tape, and achieving results.
Sue Monk – Professional Consultant
She has considerable written communication experience across a wide range of publications and styles, including tender writing, award entries, technical reports, communication collateral, media releases, websites and community information materials. She has authored and edited several technical documents and is adept at drafting content to suit the needs of specific audiences.
Sue has worked at the highest levels of the British Government, as Gordon Brown’s media and events advisor when he was Chancellor of the Exchequer. She has also worked as a media advisor and ghost writer for the then Chancellor, UK Treasury ministers, European Commission commissioners and Scottish Government ministers.
Sue was also a senior journalist and editorial writer at The Courier-Mail for five years. As a former journalist she is adept at writing in plain English and communicating complex technical material in a succinct and easy to understand format.
Most recently Sue has managed the communication and engagement programs for Xstrata’s Togara North Coal Project, the Hinze Dam Stage 3 upgrade, Nathan Dam and Pipelines Project and Upper Murrumbidgee Environmental Flow Project. She has also developed communication strategies and consultation reports for Cockatoo Coal’s Woori Coal Project. These projects have involved drafting numerous plain English documents, summaries, reports and collateral about a series of complex and technical topics.
Sue has won a number of national and international awards for her communication projects.
Michael Denton B.Bus(Hons) CPA ACIA MAICD ACIM
He has played an integral role in the bidding for and securing many of Australia’s major sporting and cultural events and served on numerous boards, committees and advisory panels, including being a member of Griffith University’s Industry Advisory Board.
As a Certified Practicing Accountant and Charter Company Secretary, Michael was also Assistant Secretary and forensic accountant with the Fitzgerald Commission of Inquiry and has extensive experience working within the legal and judicial system.
An experienced consultant, company director, auditor, financial manager and senior executive across a range of diverse businesses and industry sectors, Michael has worked with stakeholders at all levels of Government and the private sector to deliver real and practical outcomes. Michael knows what it takes for teams to perform at the highest levels in globally competitive markets and brings this experience to every engagement.
Michael is current a director on the Board of Advice for the Forde Foundation and Director of Coaching with Substance Inc.
Rob Lillystone, Professional Consultant
Always concerned with good practice processes and aligning people to business objectives, Rob was tempted into the Public Service to work on a major initiative to establish a National Standard for the development of people inside organisations. He helped research, design and pilot this new Government framework, Investors in People, used to assist companies get the best out of their human resources. Investors in People, is still operating 20 years later.
Rob has worked for the Queensland Government for 12 years as a Business Adviser to small and medium sized enterprises, and Deputy Manager of a Regional Office. Relevant achievements include:-
- Liaising with three levels of government to secure funding for economic development projects
- Grant identification and administration for clients
- Internal process design and training of officers to assist clients with tendering for government business
- Selection criteria design and recruitment panel membership for government vacancies
- Successful applications for secondment and promotion interviews
In 2009 Rob worked during long service leave as a volunteer on a community project to better connect service providers within a region. Plugging an identified gap, Rob acted as coach to help individuals with resumes and improve their employability skills.
Rob has skills to focus in on the most meaningful and important aspects of a project, is mindful of deadlines and is very results orientated.
Ruth Cushley, Professional Consultant
As part of these strategies for her clients, Ruth conducted thorough situational and stakeholder analyses, identification of emerging issues, assessment of key issues and opportunities, media scanning, development of protocol documents and style and branding guidelines, development of key messages, management of events, as well as the development of a range of marketing collateral, correspondence and award submissions.
Ruth also has strong market research and behaviour change skills, having developed, analysed and reviewed numerous surveys, provided specialist advice regarding online and offline market research techniques, practices, principles and interpretation of research findings. Ruth has also facilitated a range of research and engagement activities including focus groups, in-depth interviews, public meetings, workshops and briefings to a variety of political, industry, management and community stakeholders.
Ruth has prepared numerous successful bids and tenders over the years and has also been on the assessment panel of preferred supplier panels for local government. Ruth also has a proven track record in project management of small to large projects. Coupled with her experience in business development, Ruth offers her clients strong, proactive skills relating to issues and expectations management and always seeks to deliver high-quality deliverables within time and budget.
Ruth places high importance on developing a strong rapport with her clients and ensuring she understands her client’s drivers and competitive advantage, so as to capitalise on all opportunities. Ruth brings to our clients a fantastic capacity to prepare great tenders and grants, to assist clients in managing their projects and to provide outstanding customer service. Ruth is certainly a fantastic addition to our team and we are very lucky to have her on board.
Kelly Simon, Professional Consultant
Kelly undertakes consulting roles in the areas of tender and grant development, policy development, project management and service improvement.
Kelly has over 25 years experience in the public sector and has worked on a variety of government priority projects including service delivery and policy initiatives. She also holds Graduate Certificate qualifications in Public Sector Management and Diploma in Project Management.
Kelly has specialised skills in the following areas:-
Business improvement; policy development and review; program/project management; researching, interpreting & applying government priorities to a forward thinking/outcome oriented policy framework, regulatory reform and establishing & implementing business processes & standard operating procedures.
Kelly brings a wealth of public sector skills and experience to Red Tape Busters and she is excited by working with our clients.

Tanaz Byramji (BA Professional Communication) Professional Consultant
Tanaz’s career path spans a range of positions in government, not-for-profit and career support organisations. She has worked with high profile individuals, political figures, government agencies, small businesses and individuals seeking assistance in all manner of documentation.
She has experience preparing a diverse range of written materials from grant applications, business plans and policy proposals to strategy documents, professional biographies, resumes, manuals, legal educational material, website copy and speeches.
Tanaz blends communications theory with industry research and advanced writing techniques to ensure she communicates the right message – every time.
Her professional integrity, reliable approach and unquestioning commitment to quality is complemented by excellent client consultation skills. She works closely with clients to help negotiate a path through bureaucracy and achieve their goals. We are excited with having Tanaz join our team to give us another highly skilled Consultant plus to assist us in our quest to tap into the Melbourne market.
